From northern Taiwan, Tea leaves are picked in the tropical heat of summer, then hand twisted and left to dry to various shades of green, red and brown, with a silvery sheen. Its honey-like liquor is light yet rich, imparting a floral sweetness and full-bodied flavor. Use 2 teaspoons to 1 Tablespoon per 12 to 16 oz pot. Use Very Hot (180º - 195ºF.) water. Steep for 5 to 7 minutes. Caffeine: 30 mg / 6 oz cup. |
